Having grown weary of the previous app I was using (called ArtRage), I yearned for more variety of effects, color choices, brush styles, and other options.  I have switched to a new drawing app called Procreate.  Wow! What a difference it makes, I think.  Also, I discovered a web site that has photos available for painters to use.  I’ve been using some of the photos as inspiration, so that may account for the difference (I was running out of ideas on my own) :-).  So the composition and subject matter is “borrowed” from the photo, but the colors, backgrounds, and such come from me.  And of course, I have to cute-i-fy things, like the mouse.
