Day 5 of 30 paintings in 30 days

Another day exploring ArtRage brushes.  For this digital flower field, I used the Gloop pen! Love that name!  And it makes perfect flower centers. I used the roller brush and palette knife for the wild petals.

Day 3 of 30 in 30 challenge

Happy Sunflower by Barbara Harvie

I love to paint sunflowers, so I had to try painting one with ArtRage.  I love how the background turned out. And I overdid the glitter, but I couldn’t help myself.  I wish I had more color choices though and I’m sure there’s a way to get more…I just haven’t figured it out yet.  Here’s my digital sunflower:

Day 2 of 30 paintings in 30 days

Pear by Barbara Harvie

More iPad art fun!  I’m addicted already!

Right now I’m experimenting with all the different brush styles in Art Rage.  So much to learn.

In this one, I painted the pear using the “glitter” brush (one can never have too much glitter!) and the background using the roller and palette knife brushes.

Day 1 of 30 paintings in 30 days

Digital Rooster by Barbara Harvie

Twice a year, Leslie Saeta hosts a challenge to paint 30 paintings in 30 days.  Today is day 1!

It helps to have a theme for the 30 days.  I’ve been wanting to learn how to create art on my iPad Pro, so that’s what I’m doing this month.  I’ll explore some different apps and generally have fun.

Here’s my first piece, a rooster:
